Leaders speak

“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again”.
— Stephen Grellet, Quaker Missionary

Often, I allow this philosophy to remind me to give my 100% best each time I face a challenge to accomplish something. I feel proud for getting this opportunity of serving as The Charter President of Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit. I have accepted the challenge of being Charter President because I strongly believe that I can count on you, my fellow Rotaractors , Rotarians and accomplices in serving the less privileged. I can surely bank on your support.

My journey with the Rotaract started with Rotaract Club of SBMJC. As I got more involved with the club’s activities, my appreciation for the Rotaract Movement deepened. It affirmed my call to serve above myself the less privileged. Little did I know that my experiences have paved the way to where I am now and where I want to be. They served like chisels that carved my competence to lead.

“Excellence in leadership, character in leadership” Our sponsoring Club, Rotary Club of Guwahati Luit & Tezpur expects her sons and daughters to excel in whatever endeavour we may venture into, and be able to stand firm to her motto “Service above Self” and ours “Empowering the Youth. Making Difference”. Expectations must not only meet the standard but excellence in all should be our way of life as young community builders of our society.

Thank you Rotary Club of Guwahati Luit & Tezpur, our Rotary Sponsoring Club, led by Rtn.Sanjay Agarwal & Rtn.Prashant Bengani for trusting new organizations like Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit. We shall keep the flag high.
How can I forget to Thank “Rc Sbmjc & Rotaract District 3190” .It’s my fourth year as a Rotaractor and I have learned a lot in this period. I served as Mentor, Advisor, President, Community Service Director, and District Sergeant at Arms. Let me tell you it was a great experience. Rc Sbmjc & Rotaract District 3190 made me what I am today & specially my first club Rc Sbmjc.

Lastly I would like to Thank 2 individuals who supported me & ignited the Spark to serve Rotaract – PDRR Karthik Kittu & PDRR Arihant Kumar. Credit for my successful past goes to them.

Let’s give all our best & continue “Making Difference”!. I am sure you all will whole heartedly support this great movement to make WORLD a better place and in turn leading to a better world.

R.I.D 3240

Dear President Tushar Jalan & Rotaractor’s of the Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit, R I District 3240, It is my pleasure to pen down a few words for a special bulletin by Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit, Friends, Rotaract should not be made a platform to project or promote oneself. Instead it should become a vehicle to exhibit your leadership qualities and to give a new dimension to service itself. As leaders you’ll be expected to carry forward the torch of rotaract and spread the goals of rotaract to more and more corners of the world.

As a firm believer in the doctrine that every nation depends on its youth, I feel, an international organization like Rotary which is 111 years old depends on vibrant source – its youth to further the ideals of Rotary.
Remember success starts with a thought or an idea. When nourished with hope and confidence and encouragement, that single idea takes shape as a dream. We should let our dreams grow by giving them wings to scale higher heights. The greatness lies in those who dot allow bad times to get them down but rekindle their falling spirits with faith and convey life to their dreams.
Ideas rule the world and thoughts rule your life. It is your mind that mould’s your destiny.

To surmount the seemingly insuperable obstacles one has to shun the thought of disability and muster remnant of faculties and then channelize one’s slumbering energies purposefully and wholeheartedly.

It is not just physical ability and average intelligence but an insatiable appetite for success and unflagging willpower that would texture warp and woof of the fabric called “Human Destiny”.

Congratulation’s on being Chartered and this is the beginning of  a long Journey.

In your life you meet people. Some you never think about again. Some you wonder what happened to them. There are some that you wonder if they ever think about you. And then there are some you wish you never had to think about again; but you do and some who you wish to think about again and again and some who vanish after one wonderful year. I thank Rotaract for making me come across all such people as some of my best friends are from Rotaract Rotaractor’s possess three common facets and traits — Dare, Care and Share. My dear Partners in Service just reflect on these three magic words that explain what it takes to become special. In fact extraordinary.

– Dare to undertake what appears farfetched, and thus, impossible.

– Care for the underserved and underprivileged who deserve attention.

– Share what you have, or can muster up, with your resourcefulness.

By practicing these three things, you elevate yourself to the ultimate Quest … to create Happiness.
As Rotaractor’s, it must be our endeavor to bring innovation and professionalism to all that we do – be it projects, communication or club matters. Our learning can be immense and the objectives of Rotaract realized if we can turn ourselves from being students to mature professionals – an in-house MBA program for free!
Wishing you “All the Best” for your future.
